I’m nearly convinced that Darlene Zschech will be one of the chief worship leaders once the Kingdom comes.
I used to listen to Hillsong (Hillsongs/Hillsongs Australia, whatever) almost non-stop. I got a little tired of it after a while since we sang so much of their stuff on the weekends in Biddeford. But recently I was just hungry–desperate, even–for some passionate worship music, so I loaded up my PC (via Yahoo’s Music thing) with all-things-Hillsongs. Many of the songs–words combined with the voices and melodies, and the pictures I imagine of all the hundres of voices all worshipping together “in one accord,–are intensely weakening and strengthening all at once. (e.g., “Saviour” on God He Reigns.) It’s almost like taking a deep, sudden, emergency breath of fresh air after not breathing–and not remebering what breathing was like–for too long. My earphones are turned up about as loud as I can handle responsibly–and I could listen all night. It’s nourishing…and to think eternity will be spent pouring ourselves out in unceasing worship like this, while experiencing an increasingly instensifying divine “mutual indwelling,” not to an object of faith but to an object of sight–worshipping face to face–well…what stronger longing could there be? What stronger longing ought there be?
He is–You, Lord are–so good. And I am thankful.

Boys dont cry dude.
Men do.
Girlie men do.
Hm. What’s your criterion for manliness?
(“True religion, in great part, consists in holy affections.” — Jonathan Edwards, A Treatise Concerning Religious Affections, In Three Parts, p. 7.)
(Ah yes, the joys of friendly banter.)
Hm. My criterion for manliness.

I think you may have missed the links behind ‘Hm.’, ‘criterion’ and ‘manliness’ in my last comment? (And maybe the one under ‘Men do.’ in the comment before that?) I just changed my template to make links more noticable. Anyway, nice poem…you stoic. (chuckle)
I love Darlene Zschech. Her songs are amazing. :)
